achievements

  • LOVE which began in Montreal with fifteen youth in 1993, now runs programs in five cites across the continent.
  • Over 200 youth leaders work effortlessly to create outreaches, reaching over 40,000 people each year.
  • Our annual youth newspaper, ONE LOVE, distributes 30,000 copies to schools, youth centers, libraries, health clinics and universities. The extensive paper is comprised of writing and photographs created by LOVE youth in Photojournalism programs across Canada and in New York City.
  • Over 1,500 trained youth leaders communicate the message of LOVE to thousands of youth each year.
  • Two books authored by the youth of LOVE have been published-and one has been translated into French.
  • In September 2006, LOVE New York opened its first youth center where leaders are trained and LOVE youth can meet in a safe environment- one that many of them call a "space where I can always be me."
